This is a more beginner friendly program, it’s primarily focused on burning calories in a safe and controlled environment. This class is less oriented on weightlifting, although, participants will still use equipment like Dumbbells and Kettlebells for some muscle toning. The routines in Bootcamp are typically longer and carry more volume. In this class, the weight of each person is mainly used to perform the varied routines, movements such as, pull-ups, push-ups, burpees, squats, sit-ups and others are mixed with running, plyometrics or agility work. Members of this class are expected to burn a considerate amount of energy which in results will cause them to lose weight quickly.
Bootcamp routines are also less intimidating and more welcoming to newcomers as they don’t use barbells and are less technical. Almost anyone can show up to a class and jump right into it!
The 1-hour class usually consists of: Warm up with dynamic stretching, Core work, a 20 to 30mins WOD and final cool down.
